Dear Fellow Devotees,
Loving Sai Ram to everyone.
With the Divine Grace of our Lord Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, I am delighted to invite you and your family on behalf of the United Kingdom Central Council & Sathya Sai Charitable Trust (UK), to the Sathya Sai National Human Values Day 2013 on Saturday the 27th of April in Leicester.
During the 85 glorious years of His Avataric Mission on Earth, every moment and every act in Bhagawan Baba’s life was dedicated to transform ‘man into divine’ through the Supreme Value of selfless love. Indeed, Bhagawan was the very personification of such Divine Love, and His Divine Life was a practical demonstration of His teaching: Love in words is Truth; Love in action is Right Conduct; Love in thought is Peace; Love in discrimination is Non-violence.
‘Every step in the career of the Avatar is predetermined. Rama came to feed the roots of truth and righteousness. Krishna came to foster peace and love. Now these four qualities of men are in danger. The righteousness that has fled to the forests has to be brought back to the villages and towns. The strife and discord that are ruining the villages and towns must be driven into the jungle. This is the task for which I have come’ (SSS Vol 1-4)
‘So utilize the chance of association with me as much as possible, and endeavour as quickly and as best as you can to follow the directions that I have been giving. Obeying my instructions is enough; it will benefit you more than the most rigorous asceticism. Practice sathya, dharma, santhi and prema, which are dear to me; resolve to keep those ideals before you ever, in all your thoughts, words and deeds. That can confer on you the summum bonum of mergence in the supreme substance of Divinity.’ (SSS Vol.6, 210-213)
Bhagawan’s Life and teachings exhorting humanity to adhere to the practise of human values have attracted millions across the world from a variety of cultures, faiths, languages and races. They have inspired everyone, people like ourselves, to lead our daily lives harmoniously and in peace, in the spirit of brotherhood and in the knowledge of Oneness.
To celebrate such invaluable spiritual treasure, His Divine Legacy of Human Values, we will be commemorating the 2nd Anniversary of Bhagawan’s Mahasamadhi with immense love and gratitude as Sri Sathya Sai National Human Values Day in the United Kingdom.
This day will be another grand opportunity for all of us to offer a sacred pledge to rededicate our lives to the daily practise of human values; to play our part in the divine mission by transforming our lives and making ‘our lives his message’; to resolve to experience the supreme bliss of oneness through love and service to humanity in a spirit of brotherhood. The day will be saturated with spiritual vibrations emanating from our unified prayers, devotional singing, uplifting music, and the lofty thoughts and experiences shared by our eminent speakers. We are blessed indeed to have as our Guest Speaker on the day, Dr. T Ravi Kumar, Associate Professor in Chemistry and Warden at the Brindavan Campus of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, India.
‘Know that I am within and without you. There is no difference. Rid yourselves of the petty matters forevermore. You are now in Me and I am now in Thee. There is no difference. My darshan will pour forth from Me to and through you. You may be unaware of this constant action. Be ever pure of heart and soul, and mankind in your lifetime will benefit from your unique qualities… And as each of you perform your silent work, I embrace you to My Heart and henceforth your souls shall be lifted up and your eyes will reveal My Presence within. This I say to all My Devotees from the Lord’s Mountain Top where all the Universes become one. Be about My work, My beloved Bhaktas. Your breath will carry the scent of the blossoms of Heaven. Your example will be that of Angels. Your joy will be My Joy’.
